Whether you’re planning to make your way to Kanab for the 2020 Southern Utah Tourism Summit or considering making it your next vacation destination, you’ll have no shortage of options when it comes to finding a place to stay. From luxurious hotels to rustic campgrounds, the city has it all. Keep reading to learn a few of the best to choose from.
Canyons Boutique Hotel
Don’t let the classic Victorian decor fool you. This fully modern hotel recently underwent a renovation. The only boutique-style hotel in the area, Canyons Boutique Hotel offers a variety of room styles. Choose from intimate Queen rooms ideal for couples or solo travelers, family-friendly rooms, and even a private Penthouse room that takes up the entirety of the property’s third floor.
The hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, free Wifi, a hot breakfast buffet, and even complementary cruiser bikes for exploring the town. Canyons Boutique Hotel is dog friendly as well!
Quail Park Lodge
Owned by the same company as Canyons Boutique Hotel, Quail Park Lodge offers similar amenities, but with a retro flair. The property brings to mind the roadside motels of days past, but with a modern, colorful update. Take a dip in the pool or enjoy an evening around the fire on the viewing deck.
Quail Park Lodge offers several room styles, including two-bedroom suites ideal for families and Deluxe King rooms with sitting areas that are perfect for couples looking to relax after a long day of fun outdoors.
Canyons Lodge
Another in the Canyons line of hotels is the Canyons Lodge. More rustic than Canyons Boutique or Quail Park, this lodge showcases western log buildings, wooden furniture, and plenty of outdoor space to relax in.
Located at the base of one of Kanab’s towering red rock cliffs, the Canyons Lodge offers rooms ranging from single and double queens to deluxe king rooms. There’s also a heated swimming pool on-site.
Aiken’s Lodge
Simple, modest rooms in this unassuming family-owned motel are the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of hiking. Don’t mistake modest for lacking in amenities. Here you’ll find laundry facilities, continental breakfast, an outdoor pool, free internet, and chairs outside each room so that you can take in the sunset or cool off in the night air at the end of the day. They even offer two and three bedroom family units and a vacation rental home for groups of friends or larger families traveling together.

Alternative Lodging
While hotels may be the popular choice for visitors to Kanab, the city also offers several alternative accommodation options to choose from.
Grand Circle Bed and Breakfast
Those who prefer a more intimate stay than your typical hotel will enjoy a stay at Grand Circle Bed and Breakfast. This six-room property offers many of the same amenities and luxuries of a hotel room, but in a smaller setting. Like the Canyons Boutique Hotel, you’ll enjoy modern, Victorian-inspired decor.
Inside, you’ll have three room options, including two doubles, a single queen, and a luxurious master suite, which comes equipped with a queen bed, a claw foot tub and a shower, a fireplace, and an in-room washing machine and dryer.
The Cowboy Bunkhouse Hostel
Whether you want to save some money or are looking for a classic Old West Experience, The Cowboy Bunkhouse Hostel might be just the ticket. This one-of-a-kind locale channels the spirit of the West by bringing together weary travelers in shared quarters with plenty of space for social activities. Rows of bunk beds give everyone their own spot to sleep, while shared spaces are abundant throughout the property. A Trail Boss is always present to give you suggestions about what to see and do each day.
Relax and read a book in the old-fashioned Parlor or drop in the Sarsaparilla Saloon where you can join a sing-along with whoever is seated at the piano. Just outside, you’ll find several trailheads, while inside you’ll have access to a shared kitchen space and all of the standard kitchen supplies you could ask for.
Red Canyon Cabins
Another rustic accomodation option in Kanab is the Red Canyon Cabins. The long row of identical log cabins is unmistakable. While small, these units offer all the amenities individuals, couples, or families could need during their stay.
Each unit is equipped with its own private bathroom with a bathtub, a microwave, a fridge, a coffee maker, a television, and air conditioning. They also have small front porches for taking in the beautiful surroundings. On-site, guests can enjoy the garden or have a grill out on the barbecue. Pets are welcome in the cabins as well.
Campgrounds
Given that it’s the outdoor attractions that draw most people to southern Utah, it should come as no surprise that Kanab has its share of campgrounds. From RV parks to horse camping to primitive tent sites and everything in between, campers have plenty of options. Below are just a few to choose from. You’ll also find plenty of camping options in and around the nearby national and state parks.
Hitch-N-Post RV Park
With plenty of large green shade trees, this campground offers a welcome retreat from the summer heat, as well as a mild climate for those winter months. With full hook-ups, large pull-thru sites, hot showers, and free internet, Hitch-N-Post RV Park is far from roughing it.
Kanab RV Corral
With a large pool, an off-leash dog park, and on-site laundry facilities, Kanab RV Corral is the perfect family getaway. The park has welcomed more than 24,000 RVs during its 25 years of operation, with no signs of losing popularity any time soon.
Crazy Horse RV Camp Park
A newly remodeled, upgraded general store, clubhouse, laundry facilities, bathhouses, and a swimming pool await you at Crazy Horse RV Camp Park. While there are plenty of national and state parks and other attractions located nearby, you might just find yourself wanting to chill at camp all vacation long!
White House Campground at the Kanab Field Office
Those looking for a rustic experience can try for a shot at this first-come, first-serve campground. At White House Campground at the Kanab Field Office, there’s no shower facilities or hookups on-site, but the camp does feature fire pits and picnic tables and gives you close access to hiking in the area.
Ponderosa Grove Campground at the Kanab Field Office
Another scenic option is Ponderosa Grove. Toilets are available on-site and you’ll find picnic tables and fire pits, but don’t expect much else. However, if your goal is to get away from civilization or the crowds that descend on the national and state parks during the busy season, this is a great, inexpensive option
